It can be elevated when rheumatic conditions (such as vasculitis, RA) are active, but it can also be elevated in chronic infections and in some malignancies. My understanding was that both rates would drop to near normal while taking the predisone very quickly. I am not sure at this point if it in fact might be RA or another autoimmune …
